Landscape Construction
Matthew Forchione - B.S. Landscape Horticulture OSU´97. Ohio Certified Landscape Installer by ONLA. Nationally Certified Landscape Installer by Planet, formerly ALCA. Primary responsibilities include Design Build sales, estimating, project management of the 3 install crews, customer service point of contact, day to day as well as fiscal operations.
Production Manager - Brian Rinehart was promoted in 2007 from a single Project Manager to become our Production Manager for all crews. His responsibilities include preparing all aspects of an upcoming project for the Project Manager and crew. He also oversees the progress and completion of each of our installation jobs to be sure they meet our client’s expectations and confirm the contracted scope of work.
Project Managers - Design Build - Seth Hatfield, Federico Ramirez, Scott Ross each are responsible for individual projects. Each brings slightly different skill sets to a project. Combined they each are committed to reach our company goals for quality craftsmanship, reliability, and customer satisfaction. All three of our Project Managers are extremely reliable, trustworthy, respectful, and continually growing within 9 Trees in their own way.
Assistant Project Managers - Lucio Ramirez, Nemorio Ramirez, and Justin Ramsey are the right hand man to help the Project Manager with skilled construction and planting techniques. These individuals are each veterans of the company and are depended on to build patios/steps/and walls, layout planting jobs, and be sure all of a crews tools are accounted for and neatly organized.
Skilled Laborers - It would not be much of a crew with out a third person to assist both the project manager and his assistant. These individuals some days learn new techniques on installation projects and some days help to transfer needed materials. Our skilled laborers also help to be sure our job sites are cleaned up after a days work.
Our landscape management division was created in 2006 and is led by Ben McKnight. Ben brings 10 plus years of experience in landscape management and has a B.S. in Landscape Horticulture from OSU. Ben successfully passed the ONLA Landscape Certification in 2007. Ben is responsible for the sales and production of all of our landscape management activities including Spring Clean Ups, summer pruning, fall clean ups, lawn fertilization, lawn aerations, snow removal, turf renovation, weed and insect control, and landscape enhancement projects.
Project Manager - Maintenance - Morgan Bettinazzi - B.S. Agriculture in Crop Science and Plant Pathology. He brings great determination and plant knowledge to 9 Trees. His 6 years experience in growing perennial plant material is highly respected among his peers. A great person to have maintaining your landscape plantings. Morgan also has completed two designations for the ONLA Certified Nursery Technician and will likely pass the 3rd designation in Winter 2008 to become a Master Technician.
9 Trees Landscape Construction was started in 2002 by Matt Forchione, B.S. Landscape Horticulture OSU´97. In the first year 9 Trees employed only 2 full time landscape installers both State Certified by the Ohio Nursery & Landscape Association (ONLA). Our core principal is "Perform the work to the best of your ability, to work honestly, and to keep the clients priorities first". We carve our niche in the new home construction market focusing on building "Outdoor Living Areas".
In 2008 we will maintain the same crew structure. We currently run 4 full time 3 man crews supported by one Production Manager, and kept busy by two full time design sales people.
Our yearly growth has slowed to a modest 15% annually. Again in 2008 we are committed to increased quality, fair pricing, and building better systems to become more efficient so that we may continue to deliver what we promise.
